About Concrete Calculator Free
Concrete Calculator Free is a website with free calculators for concrete and related building materials. You enter the dimensions of a job and the calculator works out how much material to order.
How the calculators work
Each calculator uses a geometry formula to find a volume, then converts it to the units the material is sold in. The formula is shown on the calculator's page with a worked example, so you can check the result by hand.
All calculations run in your browser. The site has no account, no sign-up and no paid plan.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure, such as the yield of a bag of concrete or the weight of a cubic yard of gravel, comes from a published source: a manufacturer's data sheet, a government design manual or an industry association's technical note. Each calculator lists its sources at the end of its page, and the author page lists every source the site uses.
Who builds the site
The calculators are built and checked by Jhon W, the site's founder and editor.
Using the results
Enter the dimensions from your plan and order the quantity the calculator shows, including the waste allowance. For footings, walls and other structural work, use the sizes your plan and your local building code set.
Independence
Concrete Calculator Free is an independent website. Quikrete, Sonotube and the other product names on the site belong to their owners.
